Here's a few more articles from the BBC Tech Site.

China close to being top spammer - Full Story

The US is close to losing its place as the top spam sending nation on Earth.

Statistics from security firm Sophos show that China is fast catching up the US as a source of junk e-mail.

According to Sophos, 23.1% of spam comes from computers in the US and 21.9% comes from China. The UK is tenth on the list of spam sources.

As a continent, Asia is the biggest source with 42.8% of unwanted commercial e-mail coming from that region.

I freaking hate spam, we don't need it, it doesn't help anyone, why do they send it when they know it's annoying?!

Park and write - Full Story

A homeless woman in London has been living in a car since last summer. But by writing a blog she has put herself in touch with an international audience.

It's a tale of our time - about being cut off from everything around you but still connected to people thousands of miles away.

Sometimes you can be more honest with those you don't know, I think everyone needs a place as a release, her blog is hers.

Brain games aim to boost your IQ - Full Story

Computer games have long been derided by critics as mindless, brain-rotting fun.

But a new wave of games is turning the cliché on its head.

Nintendo has sold nearly five million copies of its three Nintendo DS brain training games since the series launched in Japan a year ago.

Could be a cool way of teaching, it's done sometimes but not as widely as it could be...

College Bans MySpace.com Use on Campus - Full Story

Del Mar (Texas) College students now have to use computers outside the school's system if they want to visit the popular Web site MySpace.com. An investigation found that heavy traffic at MySpace.com was eating up too much bandwidth, said August Alfonso, the school's chief of information and technology. Forty percent of daily Internet traffic at the college involved the site, he said.

Thought I'd post some more snippets of news btw.

It is, there are people I know who just don't stop talking about it, I've had a myspace since before it was popular and now everyone is raving about it, why?! There's been this kind of thing for ages. Plus myspace is sluggish, full of adverts and often just doesnt work, so why is it so polular?!

    because people are stupid =P

i have one, and i sometimes get these weird comments from kids that are 'oh, erin, i love you so much.' which is why in reality they never even look at me.

i guess its a big place for people to pretend like they actually like each other and have booming social lives or something >.<

Myspace has 3 general categories of purpose that are most common, I think:

    1.) what Ambellina said
2.) place where people can be really, really emo ... the more emo the better
3.) place where people can post half-naked pictures of themselves, hoping that members of the opposite sex will post comments like "damn, you're so hot"

I'd say #2 and #3 are most common in particular
