ok i dont know much about sli but apparently its really good...the motherboard that im already getting with my comp due to a deal with the processor is sli compadible... now i must decide between getting either 1)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102505 or 2) 2x of these for sli http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143050 which would be better or what suggestions do you have for around that price? thanks
To briefly answer your question, the X850XT would be the better pick. Some things to take note of: The nVidia 7300GS is not SLi compatible but may still be used in a PCIe motherboard. Also to take of, is that ATI video cards cannot be used in a SLi setup. To run two ATi cards in tandem requires an ATi Crossfire compatible motherboard.
thanks you for your help..now another question...the x850xt cost about $175 would u recommend that i get 2 sli/crossfire compadible cards for a total price of around $175 or just stick with the x850xt?
Is $175 your budget, or can you spend more? I'm asking this because Crossfire cards are a little more expensive ATM. I also believe, at this point in time, SLi would be a better pick due to it being on the market for a year longer then Crossfire, therefore has had the chance to work out all the quirks and problems with the technology. You could get two of These pretty cheap. But a budget would help
well i dont want to spend that much over 175 so would it make that much of a difference if i just stuck with the x850xt? or what other suggestions can u make if any
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127095 The 7600GT is the new midrange card from nVidia. The 7300's are the low-end 7xxx series cards, like the GeForce MX's were. I forget the exact performance, but the 7600GT's are pretty good and competitive with the Radeon X8xx cards.
