I just got my xfx 7600gt today.
I currently have the bfg6800gt in my pc.
How do i go about doing this? Do i swap the cards then the drivers?
Or do i wipe the drivers for the first card, then switch the cards and install the new drivers?
I would also like to add that i cant see what is up on my screen to wipe the old drivers because the old card aint turning on when i boot up, so i may have no choice but to pop the new card straight in, will this damage the system if the new card is connected and the old drivers for the other card are on the pc before i put the new ones on?

    Thanks.

    No it wont.

    1. Install your new Graphics card
    2. Turn on your computer
    3. Tap F8 just before Windows starts to load
    4. You should be looking at a menu. Select 'VGA Mode'.
    5. Log in to Windows and uninstall your existing graphics card driver.
    6. Reboot and log back into Windows again.
    7. Your new Graphics card should be detected by Windows. You will be asked to insert a driver CD, or provide the drivers from another medium

actually, your old gfx card is nvidia too so you wont have any problem replacing the card. Replace the card and boot up to windows normally and just got straight upgrading the nvidia driver.
