    For your first question;
    [link=http://download.micron.com/pdf/flyers/ddr_to_ddr2.pdf]A PDF file which explains difference DDR2 and why to consider it[/link]

    No idea for your MOBO.~!

    I have no clue if that motherboard is good or not. AM2-based Athlon64 motherboards are brand-spankin' new and there haven't been any reviews out. DDR and DDR2 are physically and electrically incompatible, so you can't run both in the same rig. AM2 CPU's all require DDR2.

    lol dude, you really have no choice if you get that mobo, coz it only supports ddr2. DDR2 are supposed to have better bandwidth so thats a plus, and another pro is that it's cheaper than DDR RAMS so you might be able to guess what i'm gonna go for.

    ps If you dont like your mobo could you sell it to me? JOKES:D

    I'd suggest against going with that motherboard because it uses a VIA chipset. This could lead to all sorts of strange instability and general incompatibility.

    No it doesn't. It uses the nForce 570 SLI chip. I don't know if it's some glitch or if there's something where VIA and MSI are in cahoots together or not.

    Don't get me started mega :D.

    The nForce 5 chipsets are brand new, and so are AM2 motherboards. If I were you I'd wait a while and let the market settle down. If there are bugs or glitches in the hardware, then let it be ironed out first.
