Hi Srry. i did not know where to ask about hijack this. so can anyone tell me if there is anything suspecious in the list?
There is nothing suspicious in that list. Have you encountered a problem or something you need help with? Hope this helps
The thing is that pc frezzes randomly. it is unpredictable. there is no pattern to it.These are the specsHP Pavilion A210.uk - Specifications. I have formated my disk and reinstalled everything. it currently has windows xpprosp2. i have done all the basics such as run virus scans, spyware scans etc. there are no external devices connected to it. but one thing i noticed was that the cpu temp is like 65 degree ish. can this be the issue?.
Hi Yes, it's something you should be aware of. I think this problem is because you have Norton AntiVirus & AVG installed on your hard disk. Norton is a big resource hog, check your Task Manager for stats of how much Norton's processes are using, the main ones are: ccApp.exe ccProxy.exe ISSVC.exe ccSetMgr.exe SNDSrvc.exe SymSPort.exe SavRoam.exe & a few more (starting with cc etc) Look at how many tasks are running also in Task Manager. This could also be a problem with malware, spyware and unwanted files. Download & Install: Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4 Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06 SpywareBlaster 3.5.1 Update and run each program, and see if you detect any critical infections. One thing I missed from your log was this: It would be good to do a selected scan of that file with Norton AntiVirus (Alternate-Click and click Scan with Norton Anti-Virus). To find the path of ALCXMNTR.EXE Open Regedit Start > Run > regedit > OK Locate the startup entry [+]HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE [+]SOFTWARE [+]MICROSOFT [+]WINDOWS [+]CURRENTVERSION [+]RUN Click on (the folder) Run in the left-panel and you will see most of the programs that run as soon as any users on your machine log into Windows. Find ALCXMNTR.EXE entry and next to it will show the path (Value). Hope all of this helps, please reply with any information. - Chris
