I bought a thermaltake BigWater SE kit and i am planning on buying an am2 processor. i dont know what clip to use for the new processor because it says it is a universal clip for AMD k7 and k8 so i was just woundering before i buy anything else if this kit would work.

    thanks

does the cpu block use screws to secure it? or just clips? if it uses clips you should be fine. the older amd fans are compatible with the am2 mobos.

Off-hand, I'm not aware that it supports the AM2 out of the box. I don't know if Thermaltake has a retention clip or mounting mechanism for this kit yet or not. A lot of current Socket 939/754 cooling does not work on AM2.

Is the K8 not the AMD 64 configuration? Either way I doubt you will have any trouble if its meant to fit the 939 as well.
