Hi there, i am looking for some help regarding binding connections.

I have a cable connection and an adsl connection and i would like to use them at the same time, so i have the combined download/upload speed of both connections. My cable is connected via cable modem and adsl is via pci modem. A friend had a similiar setup but with routers, i am wondering if there is a way to do it without routers? Although the download/upload speeds were not directly combined when he did it (he couldnt download at the full capacity of both lines together at once) but he could download a few files at a time and the overall speed would be the combined speed. When i start up my system at the moment the cable comes on first, then i connect to adsl, so both are connected at the same time, but supposidely windows uses the last connected connection, probably why i can't send mail using my cable isp's mail servers when the adsl is connected, but i want to be able to use both connections at the same time, so using the bandwidth combined.

If anyone can help i would appreciate it alot.

I think to pull this off you would need a specialised router. Probably one which supports load balancing. I dont think windows supports two connections without extra hardware.

This one would do the job:
