Im not sure what all that was above but if im guessing correctly then that is a directory of some sort? If thats the case then wouldnt many computers be different? I mean I have know idea wut hkey_local_machine is. I have searched my computer for DICE in my search engine and came up with notta.

Is there a more universal way I can find DICE?
    thx for the help

O and I really dont think reinstalling xp is an option

what i was referring to was once you had accessed the registry, the folders you should look up (in the order i listed) shud contain all entries made by BF2. BF2 has folders in the reg in DICE as well as battlefield 2, so if you deleted both of those folders and then reinstalled u shid be ok

Well when I find the registry folder I will do that. But I may have already deleted it or I just cant find it.

    To go into the registry,
start > run > type "regedit" and press enter................

But if you want to edit registry then I would recommend you to go through Microsofts Website first [link=http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q322756]How to back up, edit, and restore the registry in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003[/link]
