I just bought some new ram (2x1gb patriot pc3200 from newegg) and set all the latency settings in bios correctly. Then while playing oblivion my computer restarted randomly. I downloaded memtest and the first time i ran it my computer restarted, the second time the screen got all corupted. Now it says Unexpected interrupt - halting and gives me all the assembler vairiables (eax ebx ect..) and the stack... so something is definatelly wrong with at least one of my sticks right? it also says that its running single chanel and I'm pretty sure my motherboard can handle dual chanel (msi k8t neo). I'm going to try adn set the latency setting to auto and see if that works, if not then I'm going to try each stick one by one. this sucks :-(

Are you running Memtest off a floppy or CD? I *don't* think it can be run from Windows (or at least it's not written to do so).

memtest cannot be ran from windows. Usually, it comes as a CD image file. Burn it to a cd and boot from CD when you restart your computer.
