Ok so my friend just got a good cheap SLI board for his Pemtium D. His trying to decide wether to take full advantage of the SLI and get 2 cheap 6600LE's or get a good 7600GT. They both basically come down to the same price. Should get the 2 6600's or the 7600? Any help would be appreciated thanks

If it were 2 6600's or 6600GT's, SLI would be better. The LE's are basically faster clocked 6200's, more like a 6200GT if you will. Go with 7600GT.

Even if you did have 2 6600GT's you'd still probably be better off with a 7600GT, you could always add another, and since many game's don't really untilize SLI all that well. You'd probably see higher framerates with the 7600GT as the 7600GT is a bit better than a 6800GT, with is about equal to 2 6600GT's. Concidering how cheap 7600GT's are these days, plus with some newer features being a GeForce 7 series it's really the way to go at the moment for the midrange market.

Oh, and make sure the motherboard does use the nForce 4 SLI chipset. Having two PCIe x16 slots on any Intel-based board doesn't mean it will do SLI.
