My system keeps restarting I beleive it is to do with the memory as I have ran memtest and it found 12 errors on the ram. The system is also crashing alot. I have turned automatic resart on crash off and now I just get the blue screen of death. Dan 2800+ XP 256mb Ram fx5600
Well, first thing I'd do is have the BIOS run the memory timings by Auto or By SPD (same thing, different name--depends on the motherboard company). If that doesn't work, try the memory in a different slot. Failing both those, get a different stick entirely. Also keep an eye on your CPU temp, particularly if the system is crashing under load. If you start seeing much above 60 degrees Celcius, you might want to look into a better cooling solution.
i love the way anti-trend always replies to a post but never really adds anything just agree's with what harrack or Big say lol* * not that there is any irony or that i am a hipocrite
lol never really noticed that but it is true. any way back bout the ram thing and the errors please do not take me unseriously here i know sum people are skeptical bout this but put the ram stick in a plastic bag and then fill it with water and then dig a 1 meter deep hole in the ground and put it in the hole and then jump on your bike and get some bloody decent ram LMAO sumthing like kingmax and make it higher the 256mb or if you dont have the money you could try freezeing it, it has never worked for me but hay if there are rumors saying that it does work then might as well try it lol
Do your research and you'll find posts where he disagrees with me and you'll find posts where his knowledge is very helpful. I would also add that he's more knowledgeable than me so please, when you make a comment, make sure it's based on facts and not on assumptions, thank you.
