    Hi, I have set up my Belkin wireless ADSL modem/router for Toucan broadband. It works fine for both PC's that are using it but you have to login to the router as admin and click connect to connect to the internet, should the internet not already be connected when the computer is started? we leave the router on for 24hours a day. If computerA has gone on and manually connected through the belkin admin and computerB then switches his computer on then it automatically works because computerA has connected it and vice versa.

    Anyone any ideas?

    exactly what do you mean ?

    i think you mean: you have to login to your routers web configurator for it to work, or do you simply start your browser and you are then asked to login (ISP username & password)

    if i´m understanding you correctly:

    presumable your on XP

    you need to activate the networking when you login to win

    Start -> Settings -> Control Panel ->

    wait a bit, what is you OS, then i´ll boot that OS, cos i can´t remember

    right, i've booted XP (i'm not a happy bunny, hate XP)

    but anyway, i can't find the setting i think you need to adjust, basically i think you need to make XP logon to network at boot on both machines,

    then you just run browser to access net

    can anyone else remember where this setting is in XP ?

    Well they both automatically logon to the wireless network, its just the Internet that does not boot automatically.
