OK so i have this old IDE hard drive and i was wondering if i could set it up with my stata drive as a slave or maybe even a RAID

-after posting this i realized i should have put this in the hard drive section, my fault

I dont know about the RAID bit, but you can have both normal IDE and SATA running in the PC. It wont be as a slave though.

The SATA drive doesnt go on the same lead as the IDE drive. Thats the only time you would need to use master/slave; when there are two drives on the same lead.

It should be as simple as plugging them both in.

As for the RAID, I suppose it would be possible if you did it through a software setup but from what ive read you should only really use RAID with matched drives.
