First, let it be said that I know almost nothing about overclocking. This may be a common occurence, but it seems very odd to me. I have an X2 3800, which out of the box is 2.0 GHz. I can overclock up to about 2.1, and then any further (I've only touched the FSB so far), the speeds go down. For example, if I set FSB to 220, the CPU goes down to 1.8 GHz. Any ideas on what's going wrong?

well it is probably ur ram that is limiting it. if u use a divider it will probably go higher. u overclock it too much for the system to handle so it clocks the processor back down
