How can you change the cd-key for a pc game, without re-installing it. Is there a location of a file that contains the current cd-key where you can change it
Back to the original post; H key local machine\software doesn't work I'm putting H key local machine\Game Title H key local machine\software\Game Title None of this codes work, I keep getting an error, saying to re-type it
Ok, I have my registry in front of me, starting from scratch: - You should see a bunch of folders to your left, all starting with HKEY. - Double click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - Double click on Software - Find the company of whatever game you're looking for, and double click it. - You should have 1 or more files in front of you on the right. From here, I'm not so sure. You could try deleting one, but I would back-up your registry first. If the game stops working altogether, you'll have the backup that you can load. Modifying is strange...
Here is the solution..... Right click on Start(windows) > properties; Now you are inside the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties". Select "Start Menu" Tab from the top > Press Customize button > Select Advanced Tab from the top > Here you need to check in from of Run in the Start Menu Items to display in the list..... For Registry Editing; It is always not a good practice to edit registry unless you are 100% sure what you are doing. However, if you have a backup of the registry as Unseen suggested then there is no problem....
How do you access the registry, I put in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE in the "RUN" box, but it gives me an error to re-type it
