Speakers/Soundcard Problem

    I just got Logitech X-530 speakers and a new Dynex 5.1 sound card, the sound card came with a CD with a driver on it and i installed that but my speakers still dont have any sound Please help me.

    In this situation I would first check that you have everything plaugged in correctly. Then go into the Windows control pannel/Sounds and Audio Devices and look at the Audio tab and under playback choose the soundcard you have. If you go into the advanced bit you can set it to 5.1.

    Go to device manager (right click My computer, properties, hardware, device manager) and find your sound card. Check there's no problem with it there.

    Hey thanks guys but i did it a different way, i went into my bios and disabled my Onboard sound. i guess i should have said that this was my first sound card
