Everytime my computer boots, a ChDisk thing runs, how do i get it to automatically stop doing that
I think its from Partition Magic 8, though I'm not sure

    Chdisk is part of windows.
The only time ive had it run upon bootup is if Windows thinks something is wrong.

I take it doesnt find any errors?

No, ChkDsk doesn't find any errors, at boot it says it has to check the drive for consitency (The drive that its checking is a partitioned drive)
I haven't had these checks before untill I pasted My Documents folder in that drive, and everytime I boot up ChkDsk runs; its soo annoying; you know how to get rid of it?

Start -> Run -> Type "chkntfs /x <drive>" (no quotes)

    e.g diable it the drives c: d: e: chkntfs /x c: d: e:

no, chkdsk is just one of MS's paranoid tools (but they have to be paranoid, with such a buggy OS)

it's ok to disable it, but always remember that it's disabled, cos if you start having weird problems you to run chkdsk or scandisk on a partition

scandisk is not on the start menu by default (i think)

well scandisk does a more thorough job than scandisk, can't remember where it is, but to run scandisk Start > Run > type "scandsk" or "scandisk" <enter> (i think)

chkdsk is kinda like a crap version of scandisk that goes back to the days of DOS
