Hello, I am a new to building Pc's but not new to Pc. I just want to know if my spec's are very good. I don't want just a ok responce, I hope that they are up to par, par being a hole in one!

    MoBo EPoX EP-MF570SLI
Case XION XION _ Solaris XON-403
    CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor
    GPU eVGA 512-P2-N568-AR 7900GT KO 512MB
    Ram CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2
    Hdd Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB
    CD/DVD Pioneer Black x2
    Cooling APEVIA(ASPIRE) CF12SL-UGN 120mm x2
    PSU Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500 ATX12V 500W
    Extra Microsoft Keyboard + Mouse

This all is about $1200 off newegg. I will probally find the fans elseware becasue they cost 15 each, shiping included. I just want to know if it will be a good build in a few months, if not what should I change.
P.S. The 2x means I getting two of them.

Your whole system seems cool/blastic to me but I dont know about this motherboard. The most common motherboard I've seen everybody using these days are Asustek, Gigabyte or Foxconn.... Its just all I can tell you after watching lots of sytems review on this website.

Yeah, It isn't the most heard of board but it has some nice reviews around the net.

Well, that board has a very unnessisary heatsink. It is huge. If that breaks the board breaks.

lol.it isnt that huge, ive got the non-sli version of the mobo and it wont break off coz its not heavy or anything, and it is not unecessary, becoz it just manages to keep the mobo at average temps compared to other mobos that havent got this heatpipe.

That heatpipe helps to keep the chipsets cool while not creating any noise - it does however mean that you'll need good air-flow in your case for that passive cooling.

Well, The one I picked out anyway goes fast than the 590 boards in the first place. It has two IDE channels.

not really becoz the copper fins are located right next to the cpu fan which cools it when blowing out air from the heatsink.

This may be the case with some CPU HSF's but not always. They're designed to be passive and use the airflow in the case to help cooling.

it is passive cooling, just that the air is maily coming from the cpu heatsink fan becoz can fans cant really put any air in the position it is in only the cpu fan. putting a case fan on top of it wont help either becoz it will push the air coming out from the cpu fan onto the mobo which will obstruct airflow

I know, all I'm saying is:

Not all CPU fans will push air onto that heatsink, because not all CPU fans are the same, understand?!

Being passive means it doesn't need any airflow, but, it's always best to have good case fans for air movement inside the case, and decent case fans can move a lot of air which can make a helluva difference.

i dont quite get wat u mean en u say 'Not all CPU fans will push air onto that heatsink, because not all CPU fans are the same,'
the heatsink of the heatpipe is right next to the cpu heatsink so when air leaves the cpu heatsink, the only way for it to go is through the motherboard heatsink. if u enlarge the picture in the link u will see

I know that some CPU Fans (on the CPU Heatsink) will blow onto that chipset heatsink, but some won't because the fan might be facing a different direction. And therefore the air won't pass over the chipset heatsink because it's not travelling in that direction.

    Understand?

Like, for example, mine. My HSF consists of a Thermaltake PureCU 112 Tower and 2 92 MM Vantec Tornadoes. On mine, air is sucked in on the front side (i.e. near the CD Drives) and is exhausted by the other fan through the fan hole on the back of the case. At no point does any of this exhausted air come in contact with the motherboard, because the heatsink is enclosed. Look here to see what I'm talking about.

Yeah and some HSF's blow air towards the top, like mine...

    Glad someone agrees with me...
