Windows Vista RC1 problems

Hi, recently got RC1, the problem is, its all installed, it was ready to go once installed, well graphics and internet was, the only problem i got with internet is that i can hardly load any web pages, google, dll files HWF loads of sites dont even load :s, says page cannot be displayed, i have checked security settings, disabled that wierd fishing filer and firewall etc.. put internet settings to lowest, no good :s

 

Don't think any of us run Vista, so can't really help you here.

Look for posts #19, #21, #22. It won't solve your problem, however I believe it describes your problem, so you know you're not the only one having issues.

I've had RC1 for a few days now but i finally got round to insalling it last night. It works great. The only problem i have is a have no sound Its sounds worse than it actually is.

I just need to update the drivers and it will be perfect. The net is fine for me its better than on xp or linux. Or it is for me.

Is it me or does it seem like its been optimized to hell? It just seems to much more responsive than beta version 2.

Hell no!!! If anything its faster than xp pro.

I have it setup for best apperance so im using the aero theme and the 3d function. And my pc isn't even that good.

Im running it on a separate 15gb partition on my 3ghz p4, 512mb ram, nvdia 6200 se PC.

I don't understand why people are calling it slow or buggy!!! It seems brillient for me.

 

On my other system, i installed Vista, and i loaded up with fresh install with only 26mb ram left :s, apparently thats normal, whats your ram usage now in task manager were it says free??
