Hello!. I'm just a newbie and need some help for upgradding "my" memory.
    I have this:
    Processor type:Intel Pentium 4, 1600 MHz (16 x 100)
Motherbooard: ECS P4VXMS (3 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 CNR, 3 DIMM, Audio, LAN)
Motherboard Chipset :VIA VT8753 Apollo P4X266
    BIOS type: Award Modular (08/17/01)

And I have installed and working these

    DIMM1 256 MB PC133 SDRAM (3.0-3-3-6 @ 133 MHz )

    DIMM2 128 MB PC100 SDRAM (3.0-2-2-5 @ 100 MHz ) (2.0-2-2-4 @ 66 MHz )

I'm trying to add 512 MB, and to do so I was looking on eBay. I found these:

    eBay: MICRON 512 MB 133Mhz SDRAM PC133 DIMM 512MB 168PIN 100 (item 270025380189 end time Sep-10-06 18:57:43 PDT)
    eBay: MICRON 512 MB 133Mhz SDRAM PC133 DIMM 133 512MB 168PIN (item 270025015282 end time Sep-09-06 16:38:35 PDT)
    eBay: 512 MB 133Mhz SDRAM PC133 DIMM 133 512MB 168PIN 100 NEW (item 270026340960 end time Sep-13-06 18:25:10 PDT)
    eBay: 512 MB 133Mhz SDRAM PC133 DIMM 133 512MB 168PIN NEW RAM (item 270025821202 end time Sep-12-06 06:37:36 PDT)

I would really appreciate if someone check these links and tell me which one could work on my motherboard. I would like to pickup the right one!
    Thanks.

Persuming your using unbuffered RAM you can have up to 1.5gb over the 3 DIMMS slots. ie, you cant have more than 512mb DIMMS.

Your motherboard allows you to run the FSB at 100mhz (for your cpu) but your RAM at 133mhz. Seeing as you have a PC100 DIMM installed already you must have your memory running at 100mhz. You might as well buy a PC100 DIMM for your third slot.

Although PC133 is a third faster than PC100 there is little difference when it actually come down to using it.

You might find the PC133 costs a reasonable amount more than PC100 so have a look on ebay for PC100 before you shell out for PC133.

I bought 128mb of PC100 for £1.70 inc delivery on ebay last weekend so there are deals to be had. I wouldnt bother buying new PC100/133, it costs more than DDR a lot of the time.

eBay: 512 MB PC100 ECC REGISTERED MEMORY (item 220025598532 end time Sep-08-06 13:50:48 PDT)

eBay: 512 MB PC100 ECC REGISTERED MEMORY (item 220025599177 end time Sep-08-06 13:51:51 PDT)
eBay: 512 MB PC100 ECC REGISTERED MEMORY (item 220025599966 end time Sep-08-06 13:53:13 PDT)
eBay: 512 MB PC100 ECC REGISTERED MEMORY (item 220025600352 end time Sep-08-06 13:53:57 PDT)

These all end in 7hours and are at $11 (at the moment) inc delivery.

Thanks, Zeus, for reponding so soon!.
I didn't know that I could put ECC Registered memory on my motherboard (this is helpful to know).
On the other hand, I can't apply for the bids you suggested me because I'm in Venezuela. That seller doesn't send outside US.
Thanks a lot!. If you have any other suggestion, I will appreciate..
    Regards;
    Iván.

Yeah, It supports up to 1GB per DIMM if you use registered RAM.

    Heres a few more

    Still Upgradding memory!!

Long time after, I'm still un-upgraded!.
    I bought MICRON 512 MB 133Mhz SDRAM PC133 DIMM 512MB 168PIN 100.
DIMM arrived to Venezuela, I put on my PC, and it didn't worked.
I made a lot of things, even upgraded the BIOS (too risked for a newbie), but nothing happened.
I wrote to the seller (Emartbuy LTD), who responsably accepted to return the item, and offering to sell the correct DIMM (low density 64Mx64 512 MB PC-133 SDR SDRAM).
I paid the fee for "upgrading" (and shipping costs) and received the described above and... Nothing!.
I made the claim, Emartbuy says that I could ever return (by second time) the item, it would be refunded. That's Ok, but I WANT TO UPGRADE!.
Emartbuy told me some things to check in the CMOS (about speed selection for memory), but I didn't get anything.
Before returning the item again to the responsible seller, I would like to know if somebody knows how to make work this DIMM on my PC.
    Thanks a lot

Have you tried the 512MB stick by itself in the first DIMM slot (labeled either DIMM 0 or DIMM1)?
