Hey all! New to the forums. (Sorry i didn't no where to place this topic.) I downloaded webcam software on my g/f's comp which seemed to be a trusted site, and looked official etc... Ever since then she claims that she has got an Error message saying that an application cannot load because of this missing DLL ltdis12n.dll So i checked for the file and downloaded the DLL, and check where they DLL belongs to, it turns out its from a piece of software called Front Page 2003 or FrontPage 2003. I then checked and tried to repair the software from add/remove programs, but the catch was.. there was no Frontpage Application there ! I then seached in all programs and couldnnt find the program. I then used windows search to find the application and i found it and there was a folder but with almost nothing in it (no files). If i delete this from Prog Files will the DLL error still appear since i cannot remove from add/remove. And if Front Page 2003 is a real program {not spyware} where would i stick this DDL anyway? It was Logitech Quickcam 9.5. Apparantly the error started before then (so she claims ) That when she attempted to download the same software i got from a external mirrored site Logitech QUICKCAM 9.5.0 Driver for Windows 95/98/9X/ME/NT/2000/2K/XP/2003 Free Download - Softpedia she then cancled the download then the error started to appear. But when i re-downloaded the software from the same External mirror the error was not resolved...? Thanks Scorbo Ak.a Michael
Frontpage is part of Microsoft Office and has absolutely nothing to do with webcam software. So you obviously have two separate issues here. Every copy of Windows XP has a Frontpage directory in C:\Program Files. Why? I have no idea! What's more is that you can't delete this directory. I assume the webcam came with it's own software? Can you use that instead? If you need some webcam software you should search Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com
