I am looking at getting a laptop, and in the specs it says it will only take up to a 120GB HDD. I can get a 160GB the same size and shape as its 120, is there any reason why it wouldn't work?

If you change the HD it should work fine. Do you have link to the specs?

Am looking to get either this:

    ASUS Z62F Detail Specifications

    or this:

    Asus S96F Detail Specifications

the specs are off on the Video ram for the s96f as I know it has 224 rather then 128 shared. A few issues concern me with the s96f but they arnt exactly on topic with this thread. I just have an 80GB drive now and its not nearly enough.

the specs don't really say you can't have anything over 120GB. It could simply mean, those HD sizes are available when buying the laptop.

Personally I would contact them Contact Information just to make sure.

Laptop HDs are a smaller, 2.5inch type than normal desktops, and it should be eays to find replacement disks for it.

So pretty much if it fits it should work? I mean assuming its the right interface and all.
