    I have a Biostar 7600gs 256mb with Passive cooling.
I got this because i was waiting for the directx10 cards...
Ive decided i want to get another for SLI but i cant find my card anywhere on the net... I see biostar 7600gs 256 mb but they have a fan on them.

    Thanks!

Where'd you get it from? I'm also having a lot of trouble locating anything. The very weird thing is Biostars website not only doesn't list any passive 7600GS's, they don't list any 7600GS's at all. Newegg only had the HSF model and the only models with passive sinks that kept coming up were EVGA mainly. You might want to contact Biostar about their lack of product here.

Probably listed under your "adaptor" menu in properties>>displays is enough info to tell Biostar. Let us know how it goes.

I have contacted Biostar. I am awaiting a reply. Ive checked everywhere on my pc for the exact model i have... Even 3rd party software. Everything just says it is a Nvidia Gefore 7600gs. Ill post again when biostar replies.

I'm not 100% on this but I do now recall that newer nVidia drivers allow for the same cards but different brands to work in SLI. Definatley worth confirming though. Big B probably knows for sure.

I think as long as the cards have the same core and BIOS then it should work.

I'm not 100% on that so I'd see if Big B (the HWF overlord / Godfather) replies :)

Both absolutely true. Even if the two cards are at a different clock rate, they will still function together if they are the same chip.
