    I am using IE6 & Opera9.
I have the latest version of msn messenger, but everytime I am signed in, my internet acts up.
It re-directs to a web page, different from the web address. it doesn't re-direct me to one particular site, (ie. google.com goes to dictionary.com; hotmail.com would give me an error; yahoo.com goes to a msn error page. etc. etc.)
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

(Re-installed messenger, still getting problem whenever I'm signed in)

Check your Internet Explorer settings incase you have a proxy active:

Internet Explorer >> Tools >> Options >> Connections >> LAN Settings >> Make sure the proxy (radio) button is unchecked.

Does this happen in both IE6 & Opera?

Also, make sure you have the latest windows update's installed.

    Hope this helps.

Please run a HijackThis scan & save the log file and post the contents here.
This will help us analyse certain parts of your system.

    HijackThis Download

Could you also print screen your Process tab in Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del or right-click the task bar and choose Task Manager. So we have an idea of the processes that are running..
(please do this on a fresh boot).

I think you've posted the wrong imageshack link, atleast for me it's just a thumbnail.. please could you reupload & choose the BOTTOM link :p

What a load of partitions! :p

Anyway, I've had a look at your log and have seen a few worrying entries. Such as:

    Look's quite suspicious especially Poker? ;) :D

I recommend you do the following things:

Disable Messenger Service (don't worry it doesnt affect MSN Messenger)

Then in HijackThis tick the following entries:

Once that's done, close IE, navigate to Start > Run > Type '%temp%' > Enter
    (no quotes)

This will bring up Temp Internet Files.. Highlight all the files (Ctrl+A), and delete them (Shift+Del).

Navigate to Start > Run > Type '%systemroot%\Downloaded Program Files' (no quotes) this displays IE Objects.. highlight all & delete (Ctrl+Del).

Reboot your system and download ZoneAlarm (You dont have a software firewall installed?!  ) [A hardware router & windoze firewall isn't enough IMO]. Install it and reboot.

This should clear your system a bit and maybe defect your issues. If they occur, try scanning with Spybot - Search & Destroy and also Ad-Aware SE Personal, if they find ANYTHING delete it.

    Hope all this helps!

-did you try to click on the thumbnail
-that score poker thing is legit, i downloaded it, its a legitamate game (The Score - Home For The Hardcore)
    -and I have windows firewall

do I still have to do all that stuff, since that score poker thing is legit, and note: the process tab, and hijack log was runned when I wasn't signed in to msn, I have the problems only when I'm signed in; does that matter, would u like me to take a snap of the process tab, and run hijack when I'm signed in, and post them up?

I should also mention, I have windows washer, and use it before turning off the comp. to get rid of cookies, downloased programs etc.
and have Spy Sweeper, Ad-Aware, and CounterSpy, as spyware protectors, and I have Bitdefender 10 has my anti-virus software
