    Hello everyone
    Heres my situation.
I have two setups in my house, one of them had a DVD RW drive and the other one had a large file that i needed to burn, so i took apart both computers, installed the DVD writer and managed to burn the file with next to no problem...
Then i tried to install the CD RW drive on the other computer and i cant even access windows...it just tells me:

    "F2: Setup F11: BootMenu
    Auto-detecting Pri Slave...Noit Detected
    Auto-detecting Sec Master...ATAPI CR-ROM

Searching for Boot Record from CD ROM...Not Found
Searching for Boot Record from SCSI...Not Found

    Press any key when ready_"

There are just two disk drives in the comp. DVD Rom and CD RW btw

...i called up some support line and they said check the hard drive, coz its probably unplugged...nope...

    any ideas please??

Your BIOS is telling you it can't find your Hard Drive.

    Try the following:

    1) Check your CMOS to make sure the system is set to boot from the Hard Drive.

2)Make sure the jumper on the hard drive is set to Master not Slave.

    3) Make sure the IDE cable (or Serial Cable) is connected properly to the Hard drive and Motherboard.

    4) Make sure the power cable is connected to the hard drive.

Yeah choose the >Boot device Priority tab. This is where you can set which drives boot first. Make the Hard Drive the 1st prority in the list.. If your options are only for CDROM/DVD and none for hard drive.... then your hard drive isn't being found by the system.. This will mean the hard drive isn't physcially connected properly. Each CMOS is different so read through the menus.. Sometimes you have to use the + and - sign to select devices.
