Hi I think that I’ve put this in the right place if not I'm really sorry. Ok I have bought my new parts for my new gaming machine in the end I chose not to go with Crossfire technology as I waited for the new ATi 1950XTX cards to come out. Ok I have bough this so far... Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 XTX 512MB GDDR4 256bit ViVO PCI-E Athlon 64 4200 Dual Core going to over clock. Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe 1024MB DDRII RAM going to upgrade later on to 2GB. Plus a Cooler master 650WATT PSU. Will this Play Crysis next year? Because that’s the main game that I really want to play. Thanks Alot
If a top PC of today cant play next years games id be pretty pissed! I found this..... Crysis-Online's Speculated Requirements Thread
Thanks man that help's, I'm going to get more RAM 2GB DDRII at 800Mhz. I might up the CPU later as well as I may need a faster AM2 CPU I was looking at this baby ebuyer.com - Processors & Cooling » Processors AMD » AMD AM2 Athlon 64 / Sempron (Socket 940) » Product details just can't spend that sorta money so near to Xmas lol.
Yeah you'll be all set. Since you don't have to worry about vista bogging things down and any performance hit of turning on some flashy new DX 10 options I think you'll find it'll run quite well, probably even on highish settings I imagine. If you plan on getting another gig and overclocking your CPU a few hundered MHz I don't see any issues at all. Yeah that's a killer cpu but it's not the processor that will really be worked to the max in Crysis, but the GPU. However you've got that area pretty well covered.
Ok that’s cool I'll OC mine for now! Thanks! I need advice on a really good cooling unit for my 4200+ AM2 CPU if I’m going to OC it, I really don't want to go with water cooling as I have had bad experience with that lol. I really good heat sink and fan will do me. Thank you.
The Zalman CNPS-9500, Scythe Ninja, Thermalright XP-120, Arctic Freezer64...those are some high-performance coolers that would do a good job of cooling. Now, these are large coolers, and some require you to change the CPU retention backplate on the underside of a motherboard due to their size. Is that CoolerMaster power supply of the GreenPower line? If it's not, you may want to look at a different unit. If it is, go for it, since the GP's seem to be pretty good under load.
Sorry I haven’t replied in a while I've been really sick so I'm all better now and ready to build PC's agene Ok my PSU box says this “Green power design to meet energy star and blue angel requirements”. Oh yea I forgot my sister managed to some how get a Virus on my machine I go it off and everything it’s a really smart Worm virus that disables any anti-virus software you had installed at the time, so I managed to get rid of it but there are side affects like now I can’t find run on the start tab any ideas? Thanks! Oh yea forgot to ask thats a really kool sig were did you get it?
Well, you could do a repair install of Windows, which is reinstalling the OS over itself without formatting the hard drive in the process. I found the girl in some picture while searching around the internet and then did some editing with it in [google]GiMP[/google], which included the scan lines.
Ok now I'm screwed just tried turning on my PC boots up windows loading screen but when it tries to go onto the logon screen it never appears, I know its not BSOD it seems like my GFX card is not outputting picture? The thing that’s strange is that all the bios stuff comes up and the Windows XP loading screen but no picture after that. Any ideas? it was working fine this morning
