I already have a stupid hard drive problem, and now this!

When i turn on the computer, the monitor doesn't show anything at all, it keeps telling me to check my connection. I keep trying to restart, and then soon this beeping out comes out (it's the same as the beep at the time when computer boots, but the ones i hear is a BEEEEEEP BEEP BEEP, instead of one quick Beep. I checked the plugs and everything and they're all the same as ever before when it used to work, can yall help me?

I'm guessing its some sort of power problem so i went to this section of the forum

You mean my video card? it's ati radeon 9600xt, card it is i guess... what? is it messed up or something? cuz thing is 2 days ago i tried to turn the computer on and it worked, but while watching a movie the screen just stopped, and then i can still hear the movie, but none of the keys worked ( almost as if the computer froze), then i tried to restart, and that whole beep thing comes back

Oh, and those beep sounds comes from the CPU, i'm guessing that those are involved with RAM things?

My case seems exact to this one:
Computer fails to start, constant beeping, fan seems to run at full speed

oh and by the way, sometimes there is that normal BEEP the very first time i turn on the computer, and sometimes there's no beep altogether

Na! that beeps are coming from speaker inside ur PC...

Each beep has different meaning.[link=http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm]Check Here[/link]

Try this, remove your Video Card and reinsert it back again...

Oh I tried that, and it was the same. I'm really scared that it is the motherboard problem.
I just tried again, the computer works again, and AGAIN, i expect the screen to just shut down all of a sudden and freeze after an hour or 2.
For the beeping (when it does happen), it's a 1 long, 2 short sequence.
Maybe i'm not setting for the monitor or the hard disks to shut down after a while, maybe something overheated.

The vid card was bought only like 2 years ago (and barely touched by hands), so i don't really think it has anything to do with that.

Lets start from the beginig...! remove all the extra stuff from your computer. Leave the basics... I mean.. A processor, 1 Ram Stick, 1 HDD, Video Card(If u dont have onboard)... And see how it works...

Also let me know the configurations of ur system!

One long beep + two short beeps could mean:

The graphics card is not plugged in correctly
Make sure the graphics card is sitting tightly in it's slot.

    The graphics card is faulty
Try another graphics card in the computer.

Sorry for not replying to this post for weeks, i had lots of work to do. I tried to switch graphics cards with another computer, yea the original computer worked fine again, but the graphics card that i took out of the original computer worked fine as well on the other computer that i had. Does this narrow down to some problem? My cousin said if it's not the card it's gotta be motherboard or the power supply

Have you got another graphics card you can try in your computer?
What are the full specs of your computer? place them in your sig or the My computer area on the big blue bar at the top :)
You could try to Reset the Cmos, i dunno if it will help, but its worth a try, some bios settings may have gone bad. Just get a jumper (little black plug thing with 2 pin holes in) and place it on these 2 pins that should be located near the Cmos battery, maybe with your motherboard you may have to take the jumper off, anyway after doing that, turn your compute ron for 5 seconds, and turn it off, take the jumper off, or put it back on whichever way it is for your board. Like i said, i dont know if this will solve your problem, but it's worth a try.
