I have a Toshiba 3300 and use Windows XP as my operating system. I need to re format the hard drive, and although I have the CD that enables me to do this I also need a floppy disk created for Windows XP to enable both to work in concert and proceed to re-format my hard drive. Can you advise how I can go about obtaining the floppy disk without recourse to Toshiba directly.

first you'll need to retieve the XP CD key from the registry, and a bootdisk (from Bootdisk.com) i can't remember where the XP CD key is, will try to find it

Assuming you have a Windows XP CD or an OEM Windows CD supplied by your laptop manufacturer, there is no need for a separate floppy disk.
