    Hi
I am trying to display video on TV through my GFX card, It has a 6pin S-video connection so i got a 6PIN - 4PIN S-Video adapter. I have used a high quality gold plated pudney cable to connect it to my Yamaha reciver. But iam unable to see the picture on my tv set. I used a RCA to check and it works. But svideo doesnt. Am i going wrong anywhere.?

Ive never used any ATI cards but on my old nvidia one you had to set the drivers to switch to s-video.
You might have to right click on the desktop, go to properties and advanced.

this will sound stupid but it's a common little mistake, have you changed the input / source on you TV,
to display from the correct source

OK this is what i use to do when using a RCA cable before.
    -Hookup both ends
    -Turn on TV
    -Boot PC
-switch displays. & that use to work fine.

I repeat the same process for S-Video. It doesnt work.
