I was looking at this Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 400GB 7200 16MB ATA-100 EIDE OEM Hard Drive ST3400620A at TigerDirect.com and in the title it says that it is EIDE but no where on the page does it say that. under all the specs it says that it is ATA, i just wanted some one to look at it and see if they could find anywhere that said it was IDE, thanks.
don't need to look at it, ATA 100 is IDE, basically the difference between ATA & SATA is: ATA devices are connected in paralel (PATA) and SATA devices are connected in serial (SATA) Edit: ATA 100 are 80 connector IDE
40 pins, 80 wires for ATAand ATA100. ATA66 and 33 were 40 pins, 40 wires. (PATA) That harddrive is definatly not sata. Like Donkey said, the ATA 100 in the name of the link gives it away. In the description its says Internal IDE PATA, ATA-100, and Ultra ATA-100.
