I have just found some floppy disks (that I had a few years ago) with 'stuff' saved using a Canon Starwriter. I would like to download the information onto my computer. I have tried them - the titles come up but nothing more.

Is there any programme that will convert them? Thanx

Ive only had a 5 min look around but from what I can tell the files should be readable in windows. There are people who say they convert the starwriter files at a cost so no doubt there is a free method somewhere.

Can you upload one of them onto the net so I could have a play, I dont get how they can only be readable. What are they read in!

i think the starwriter saved files as text files (.txt extention) put floppy in PC and try to open with an editor (like Notepad) just set dialog to open all files or rename the files to include a .txt extention
