Toshiba, any good?

    I saw this Toshiba Hard Drive on dabs today. It certainly seems very reasonable. What are these drives like?

    well i've not heard how good Toshiba drives are, or who makes them for Toshiba

    Ive only got a 2gb 2.5" Toshiba drive. Its about 10 years old and still going strong. Other than that ive not heard much about toshiba drives myself.

    Up until about 2 months ago, the Toshiba 20GB in my laptop worked. The laptop was a display unit at Best Buy around 2000, so it's at least 6 years old. Everything I've used of Toshiba's has held up for years, so I don't see quality as an issue.

    My only concern is the number of complaints with their customer service these days. Saying they're incompetent would be kind...at least as far as their laptop division goes. I don't know if that's affecting TV's or individual components, but I'd be wary.
