Hi, I have a sony Vaio PCG-382M. When it boots up it has vertical blue lines through the sony vaio screen. It then continues to a screen covered in a's with little hats. Xp will then start to load up but it fails and restarts. Pics attached - any ideas?

Hi, I need a tape drive (160-320GBs ish) to backup my computer (and shared computers - all linked in a small network). Most of the tape drives I have looked at have SCSI connectors. Do I just need a SCSI PCI card? or is it more complicated than that? Thanks for the help. Cheers
