    Core 2 Duo Temps

I have a E6400 with AS5 Thermal Paste on it, It idles about 30-35 C. On load around 37-40C (This all is according to Speedfan). I think that 52 is a little hot for idle, But I suppose it depends on what temperature your house is and how many fans you have in your computer.. etc

    COOLER MASTER Centurion 5

Thanks matt for the suggestion, that is actually what I am in the process of doing now.. I can home from school about an hour ago and have been working on it ever since. I opened my case and was VERY shocked to see how much dust was actually in it.. Its only a month since I build it(maybe a...

    COOLER MASTER Centurion 5

This is the link to my computer case, I build a new computer about a month ago. I really like the case currently. The only thing I dont really care for is it only has one 80mm fan in the front(over my HDDs.. I have 2 SATA, they run between 30-37c (is that normal?)), and a huge 120mm fan in the...

    Solution for dusty conditions

Me personally, once a month I take the cover off my computers and blow everything out with a can of air ( I would recommend buying then in SAMs or another "bulk" store, they are a bit expensive but well worth it.. and they last a while) I probably wouldnt recommend using an air hose from the...

    CMOS settings won't hold

I would first replace the battery, there is a good chance that your battery is dead, or close to it - If it is an older computer as you said, that would be the best thing that could be wrong with it.

    Average CPU Temperature

What temperature program are you using? If it is running the hot (Might be a mistake, your Mobo should have automatically shutdown if It got that high to protect itself) - I would suggest getting a can of air and blowing your whole case out, paying special attention to your fans and heatsync...

I just built a new computer, The only OEM disk I had was a Windows XP Home, 32Bit Disk - I installed it, and upgraded to SP2. Everything is running great, Im just wondering, Should I have used XP Pro over Home or 64Bit over 32Bit? I tried googleing this, I really didnt get any straight answer...

How well should this card be performing?

Thanks for the information - After a few hours of tweaking with the settings in WoW I am happy to say that I am now getting a steady 50+ FPS. I found that the biggest FPS killer was the terrian distance, which does make sence. I have most of my other settings on high, and Terrain around 1/3.

How well should this card be performing?

This question is mostly directed twords World of Warcraft. When playing any other game, CS, CS:S, CZ, DoD:S, basicially every Steam game, I have no choppyness at all - I did the Video stress test on CSS, and most of the settings are all set on high. When playing WoW, it is a different story -...

Changed cases, Is my CPU cool enough?

Hey guys, Thankyou for the help -- I tried both speed fan and PC wizard, but it didnt work -- I read somewhere where the motherboard in my dell does not have the capability to read temperatures/fan speeds.

Changed cases, Is my CPU cool enough?

Okay, about the sensor thing, Its a dell motherboard, From what I have researched, there are no sensor monitoring programs for my motherboard. IF it was to overheat though, would the CPU tell the mobo to shutdown either way? The computer about three years old Either way, My nerves have eased...

Changed cases, Is my CPU cool enough?

Long story short, I have a 3 year old Dell 4600, It has a 2.4 GHz processor, 1GB ram, 120GB HDD, Radeon x1600, 450W PSU. Nothing special. I had an older Antec case that I used for a server a while back in my basement, After installing the 450W PSU and x1600 in my dell case, I decided that...
