    programming

I've done programming in C for my first year at Uni, we got our resources from here. It's written by my tutor and goes through the very basics to get your started, I found it really easy to follow - each lab was timetabled for 3 hours, but I usually finished early. (And I've never programmed...

    Flybook VM

Flybook VM Saw this featured in "Web Designer" magazine I bought, thought I'd post about it here... It's an interesting concept, having such a movable screen like that, I think it's a good idea, but lack of power and a small keyboard would put me off...

    Laptop battery life

It depends on the specs of the laptop, the OS running on it and the battery itself... Windows will generally use the HDD more as it swaps constantly, so that will reduce battery life as the HDD is in use when it doesn't *have* to be... that said ACPI and power - management features are coded...

I didn't buy the laptop for that, I bought the laptop back in September for University, and if I could sell my laptop I would and I'd build a PC, but I can't sell my laptop (personal reasons).

    I'm on it

Awesome, I'd love a PS3, for games and then I'd fold 24/7. I'm currently doing a 500,000 frame WU on my Mac - it's got a Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz and 1GB DDR2-667MHz RAM and has now taken 4 hours and 40 minutes to complete 50,000 frames (10%) (using an SMP client) I'm also running F@H again on my...

    broadband

Generally it's stated in each company's T&C - but often it's around 14 days when you can cancel the service and only pay for the days you've used up until then. But it does vary so look at your individual ISP's conditions.
