    Check in you BIOS and see if the system is set to shutdown at a certain temperature. 53*C for an A64 is rather high. You should be getting idle temps on average of 30-35*C for that CPU, even with stock cooling.

    Try un-installing the drivers completely. First use creative's un-installer and then Driver Cleaner to make sure. From there you can install them fresh and hopefully it'll work.

    I'll just state the obvious. Get your friend to either remove or give you the password. Password protected Hard Disks are not accessible unless you have the password. If all else fails, Dell MAY give you a replacement.

    You'll need a wireless router or an all-in-one solution like a wireless modem router. The router alone will most likely be cheaper but a little more difficult to install. Belkin, Netgear and D-Link make good solutions.

    Well, I purchased a new motherboard and CPU for my linux rig, A new heatsink for my main rig and a shiny new laptop which takes up the majority of the total price and 512MB DDR2 for it aswell. Don't you just love tax returns?

    I don't know about the other sites you view, but CBS requires the RealPlayer 10.1 player or plugin to be installed. Can you confirm you have this?

    I heard it was under the PCB on most hard drives. Some have also suggested taping the sensor on the motor's spindle underneath the drive.

    I think you need to use the Traveler's Disk Setup in the tools menu. I can honestly say, TrueCrypt is the best thing for what you need. If you can't figure it out, we'll try something else.
