Sounds like a hard drive corruption try reinstalling windows.
try asus's forums for better support with that issue to many items can be the issue.

Usually the memory latch is set to high for the FSB.
try OCCT program to pinpoint the hardware at fault.
go through the process of the build in reverse. It might help you find the issue.
Might have fried something due to the discharge. If you have access try another monitor.
