    Alright, I tried a different WinXP install CD and still the problem persists. So, I went ahead and flashed the BIOS to the latest version on the ASUS website, then reinstalled windows again. But the problem is still there. Any other suggestions before I :crash: my PC ?

    Hey guys, the problem is solved. Oddly enough, none of those codec packs helped the situation. I installed FRAPS on my home PC and voila, it worked!!! May be it's some kind of special codec that fraps installs along with it? Any ideas? Thanks for your suggestions anyways :)
