Stupid client can’t connect to the work server, even though it says I’ve finished my WU. ---

You’ll have that. It’ll keep trying to upload the WU every so often until it can upload it. Meanwhile, it’ll work on a new WU. ---

I’m on the stats page but still havn’t sent ht WU yet. It keeps on saying ‘coulld not connect to work server’. Getting the console client when it does finish. ---

WU=Work Units. Actually, that should be points. My bad…why didn’t I realize it earlier? :rolleyes: It’s a measure of data that’s been processed through the Folding @ Home distributed computing project. It’s a totally volunteer thing to do. Basically, you download and install the distributed computing software and it runs in the background, using CPU cycles you don’t. F@H in particular is an ongoing project to help find cures for cancer and other such diseases. People can go solo, but mostly join a team, like ours. Usually, they’re members of other techie forums, like [H]ard|OCP and 2CPU (which, ATM, are out of our league). ---
