8 beeps at startup pc keeps restaring -please help

hi there guys

last week i was using my pc turned it off went to bed, the next day i turned it on and i kept hearing 8 beeps at the startup and the PC restarted, and this process kept on repeteing itself, so i read a few help pages and it said 8 beeps is a graphics card problem, so i got a new graphics card installed it and i still have the same problem. please please can someone help me!

my specs are
Intel P4 3.06Mhz
1024MB Ram
300GB HD
ATi 9600 256MB AGP Graphics card → Ati 9800 128 Pro AGP Card
600w PSU

you posted two similar threads, other one will be likely closed for it’s in the wrong section.

What motherboard do you have

Might be a memory error. Take out and reinstall your RAM. If that doesn’t work, try it in another known working system.
