Adept, problem?

I’ve got the little adept notifier icon and when I click it to update the packages I get an error message telling me that another process is using the package database (for the exact message see the attechment) and I’m wondering what could be causing that, I’ve tried restarting the computer and trying again but I get the same error message, so I’m wondering what could be causing this…

Could it have anything to do with the fact that I tried to install some java stuff the other day to allow a program to run and during the installation of one of the packages it got to like 20% and then stopped, I left it for like 20 minutes as I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just working but it was still like it after I’d left it. So I closed adept.

This might not be realted so bear with me as this is a shot in the dark…

Yesterday, I shut my system down without stopping my Ktorrent.
When I started this morning it automaticaly started Ktorrent.
Perhaps you have a progrem which uses the packages manger, running without you knowing? Try and open the system monitor and look at the running processes. Maybe apt is running in the background without you realising…:open_mouth:

No worries, I just decided to update things through konsole, much easier. All is good now

Packages have updated. Notifier has gone, I think all is solved.

I’ll close the thread.
