AMD-ATi Merger? Higly Likely!

Um, woah! This one I didn’t see coming at all. Here’s a bit from Forbes:

It has long been discussed that the graphics-companies are likely to be bought by one of the microprocessor companies, according to Walia. However, for AMD-rival Intel, a partnership with a graphics company may not be the best idea.

I didn’t even know this, but apparently it’s been under talks for awhile.

Would be better for AMD if they bought nVidia, but suppose can’t afford to.

Nothing’s happened yet…but some analyst has sure stirred up the hive by saying so. I understand it’s been a discussion for a while now, so who knows.
