yea, i know that i will want a high end pc, but i have to start somewhere and work of of that, as of right now i have a limit on my cash and so i was figuring something that would last me fo a bit but because this is my 1st PC and im not really got a high paying job and im in high school still, i think it will be fine, but if i get the standard PSU and later buy a more dependable PSU like the ones uve recommended will that screw up alot of stuff or would that be fine? ty for answering alot of my questions guys -hippie

While the “standard” PSU may work just fine for you, it may ruin components or just fail at some random time. If you feel like taking the chance, feel free, as it’s up to you. However, If you can come up with that extra $40, I would suggest getting one of the previously mentioned PSU’s. Best of luck either way!

ok thanks guys, once i get the cash i will buy one, 40 bucks isnt to hard to make, i make double that in a week, but i also need to get a monitor, im borrowing my friends for the time being but yea, ill get the PSU as soon as posible-Hippie

Since you guys have been talking PSU’s. I am planning on building an SLI box but only have one vid card at first and later put a 2nd card in. Will a 500W PSU be enough to run 2 cards? I don’t want to take any chances on PSU’s.
