Hey iv had this problem for a while .. i kno a bit about computers
but i cant seem to get rid of it..Basically what it is..On Start up
the new hardware manager loads and tells me its found a printer
and iv ran through it clickin next etc then at the end when it hasnt
found the driver i select [FONT=Courier New]“dont prompt me to install this hardware again” [/FONT] but soon as i start the comp again back to square one its startin to piss
me off cos i have no printer connected..
could someone help me To stop this running on start up plz

and as i thought there is no printer showin up there
Althought under "Ports(com&Ltd) it says theres(ECP Printer port LTD 1)
dunno if that has anythin to do with it tho but thats all i kno
Well if its being detected on the printer port, most of the time you can go into
the BIOS and disable the port, usually under advanced features or advanced chipset configuration!
Thats the only way i can think of to stop windows detecting ‘Imaginary’ devices!

Thats probably the printer try disabling it in device manager and if it is the printer congrats your problem should be solved!
