My motherboard supposedly supports 8x but i know 4x for sure.
I think i updated the right drivers for my motherboard, used CPid searched the net, installed the drivers. So that it would have some 3.0 version or something for 8x agp, didn’t work. I installed the lastest ATI drivers, non catylist, DX 9.0c, still colored dots everywhere. Can’t Even atteppt to go into game

So what your saying is it could be a Processcor problem?
Should I NOT overclock as much? i got it set to 140 voltage or something 1.8 mghz, and thats still UNDER what it should be should be 2.1 mghz 160 or so. Athlon xp 3000 2.1

No. What he’s saying is the cooler on the video card and/or the northbridge (a large and —hopefully— heatsink-covered chip close to the CPU) have the cooling firmly attached and any fans on them are working.
It really doesn’t sound like a CPU problem as much as with the chipset or the video card.
