Are my temperatures ok?

I just overclocked my CPU from 3.0GHZ to 3.6GHZ.

Here are the temps:
CPU IDLE: 37C - 40C
CPU 3D ACTION: 50C - 55C

GPU IDLE: 58C - 65C
GPU 3D ACTION: 75C - 79C

I’m using Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste for my CPU and my GPU has its own small fan and a 120mm side case fan blowing air to it.
Check out my AquaMark scores from BEFORE and AFTER the overclocking:

-Generally speaking, your temps look very good.
-I have a Northwood Pentium 4 (3.00 OC @ 3.4) that ran 38 IDLE and 62 under PRIME95.
-My 7800GSOC ran 47C IDLE and 82C UNDER LOAD.

sweet so i’m in good shape

Those temps are fine but just a question 3d action as meaning the chip is on full load while playing a game???

Yeah full load.
Those temps were recorded during Need for Speed: Most Wanted on very high detail and 1024x768 reso

I played for about 20 minutes

Well, it’s hard to get your hands on a piece of software that could load your GPU at 100% since almost no game uses a render engine capable of accessing every last bit of chip power. That’s unless it was specifically made for that chip. Example: game consoles.
-Oh, and CPU usage is commonly at about 35%-75% durring 3D real-time rendering through the GPU.

-Do PRIME95 (Torture Test) your CPU to see it’s absolute full load temperatures. PRIME95 is true 100% load and something that every overclocker should use in stability testing. If it survived PRIME95 it will survive anything.

God i hate that game,

Grid is so much better

You recently seem to be making a lot of good points

Actually i’ve tried that a while back and couldn’t understand much of what it was doing… but i’ll try it again.

I like Underground better actually. Both of those NFS’S had a Fast and the Furious theme to it which i really liked. Especially when it came to the soundtrack

ty, mate
