I have a desktop too, an old one again.
It’s a Dell Optiplex 755, but a Core 2 Quad and not a Duo.
80 GB SATA HDD, 2GB DDR II, no optical drive.
It seems to run fine ATM, but summer is approaching and it gets very hot in summers.
Is there a way I can keep it cool? I guess, I don’t have any option to add cooling systems or an extra fan since it’s such a small box?
Any suggestions?
This is a SFF(small form factor) Small case? My main computer is a Dell optiplex 745.. But it is a tower.. I work allot on these computers and You might just want to change cases or customize that case with more fans..
Those are the same has the Compaq and HP, which also over heats.. They are a good computer, But designed wrong..

Almost no space inside to add another fan. Yes, it works fine.
Will try googling how to add more fans to this compact thing.
Is your case a Atx or Btx ?
Not sure about the difference in the two, but it should be ATX I guess.
Allot of Dells cases are BTX, and some are ATX. the difference is the way the motherboards bolts… on the left side of the case or the right side… I was asking because you could just change cases..Change from SSF to Tower..
Would a normal tower case be able to house the mobo fine? I can change the case if it fits.
I think the mobo is fitted on the left. So, is it ATX?
Looking straight at the front of the case, The left side would be BTX, the Right side is ATX.. It is more than likely a BTX Motherboard, You would just have to find a tower case the supports BTX motherboards. Gateway cases are BTX and HP make some as well. Do a Google search for BTX tower cases.
Since you probably don’t have many options to upgrade the cooling, a good dusting with some canned air would be a good move.
