Boot from CD:

Error Loading Operating System[/U][/B]

Have you ever heard of this messages?
I got it when i decided to re-install windows last night. Now it wont let me install windows xp at all. It wont even let me reformat the drive.
I googled it and looked over the first 12 pages of the search and nothing helped. I was thinking it might have something to do with the bios set up.
The boot sequence is dvd, floppy, hdd. I dont think the problem is there, however, i noticed that the dvd drive is a down as an IDE primary slave in the bios and the HDD is a IDE third master, with nothing in between, should this be changed?

My Spec:

amd 64 dual core 4400
1024mb corsair ram
250gb hdd seagate barracuda
philips dual layer dvd burner
6800gt
600w psu

Just to check you do press a key when it says boot from CD don’t you?

No its before that, it says press del for bios setup or f1 to continue and when i press f1 it runs the boot sequence.

Does it say CMOS checksum error when it prints that message?

no it doesnt
