i wudnt reccomend the m2v mobo. deeply becoz it is just an am2 low bidget board with hardly any features. its ok for now becoz he’s on a budget but in some time, if he want to get more descent components, then he wud want a descent mobo. he wudnt want to fork out more money for another mobo so its better to get one now. get the m2n-e mobo which is only about $12 more which is mothing reaLLY. ASUS M2N-E ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail at Newegg.com
it has got overclocking features and heatpipe for northbridge cooling etc.
get the 3800+ its only $6 more.
i ud got with exfoliates system with this mobo
It’s not a huge difference but the 200MHz faster processor and DDR2 memory will definately make a difference. But more importantly it’s entirely up to date so you’ll have long spanning upgrade potential.
Rosewell isn’t terrible nor is a regarded as a top player in the powersupply front, never skimp in the department as it could cost you your system. Chances are you’d be okay with that powersupply but the extra insurance that an: Thermaltake W0101RU 550W Power Supply - Retail at Newegg.com affords you is worth it concidering the price is similar. It’s up to you, the Rosewill’s got good reviews too.
Ok I will use that power supply but I still need a video card that can play WoW and I dont need a top of the line thing either just somthing that can play it on medium
That Thermaltake unit is alright, but you can do a lot better for that money. Antec TruePower TPII-550=best bang for the buck. It has stronger 12V rails over the Thermaltake, and given that it’s a few bucks more
Yeah Thermaltake has never had stong rails but all their units pretty much seem to get excellent reviews for one reason or another. But B knows his stuff, I could see going with Antec too if you can afford it.
I’d go with the 6800GS as it’s a bit faster but costs nearly the same. BIOSTAR Geforce 6800GS V6803GS52 Video Card - Retail at Newegg.com
Or a potentially faster 7600GT eVGA Geforce 7600GT KO 256-P2-N554-AX Video Card - Retail at Newegg.com
It’s never good to go with an OEM open box product like that 6800GT. It’s a good card but with OEM’s you get a crap 15 day warrenty and nothing but the card.
well wat b suggested is a fine unit. u cue also consider enermax 535watt or antec neo he 500watt but the neo may be a bit expensive. so it lyes on the antec truepower/control or the enermax
no wthat luks much better. ive got the m2n-e mobo today. all fitted in and it has got so many overclocking features and voltage adjustments etc. its sik
I think everythings great but you’d still be better served by a 7600GT, it’s no loss concidering the price is within a few bucks of the 6800GT and the 7600GT is retail so you get extra’s and a full warrenty not just the 15 day deal with the 6800GT.
