C drive opens on start up

Whenever I log in, my C drive starts/opens up. I’ve checked the start up folder, and theres nothing there that would indicate the C drive will open at start up. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

try this and disable anything that shouldn’t be there also do a virus scan[ul][]what AV are you using ?[]scan for spyware ?[/ul]

yea, i’ve done the usual
running the best in av and spyware
av-bitdefender,
firewall-zonealarm,
spyware-spysweeper, ad-aaware, counterspy

have you put installed Startup CPL (url from previous post) on to see if theres anything in the particular part of the registry

everything seems to be correct, in the start up options; here is a pic of the registry startup
don’t know what 8, 9, and 10 are; are they normal startups for the system

where

there are 4 pages in startup CPL for startup[ul][li]HKLM[]HKCU[]Startup (Common)[*]Startup (User)[/ul]
[/li]3 of them are in the registry (HKLM, HKCU & Startup (Common)) and 1 on the start menu (Startup (User))

the 8th,9th,10th from the pic

are you counting the rows from top to bottom ?
if yes[ul][li]NvCplDaemon[]NvMediaCentre[]nwiz[/ul]these are programs for your grfx card, nv - denotes NVidea
[/li]
they are things like ATI Control Panel in the Systray (bottom right corner of screen, next to the clock) so they should be there

try looking in the Win.ini and System.ini assuming you’ve checked all tabs in Startup CPL
